How TecCMD works TecCMD includes 4 major activities: data preparation by the supplier, checks on the contents for completeness and quality, sending information to traders, and synchronization of the article data between supplier and trader.
Data Preparation The data prepared by the supplier is made available using a file-based interface to the central database so that further checks can be performed.
Data and Formatchecks Extensive checks are performed on the data for format and completeness. Values are compared with historical data (i.e. predecessor articles). This improves the quality of the data substantially. Implausible contents, such as large price differences, are reported to the data supplier so that he can check them manually and eliminate errors. This prevents erroneous data from even reaching traders.
Synchronization and Dataselection As soon as a supplier adds to or changes data, an e-mail message is sent to the recipients defined by the supplier. The trader receiving the message can decide for himself which data to download in order to update his own product portfolio. This process can take place manually or automatically– according to customer requirements. As soon as the selection has been completed, the import into the merchandise management system of the trader can be executed simply and comfortably.
