The service Collaborative Managed Inventory helps traders and suppliers to optimize their inventories through collaboration. This minimizes the total capital tied up in inventory. It also sinks transportation costs by reducing expensive individual deliveries and split shipments. Traders profit from simpler order processing and can offer higher part availability to their customers. TecCMI uses historical data and actual inventory to produce predictions for order quantities, order times and sales figures.

The service is very simple to use. Every day at a given time, the trader sends inventory movement data to TecCMI including inventory, sales and use, entries, reservations, open orders and the next free order number.

TecCMI calculates the optimal order quantities, packing units and order dates. The TecCMI cockpit allows personnel from both trader and supplier to see the same results. If the order takes place, the order line items will be transmitted to the trader’s ERP system to ensure correctness of his inventory. Reservations, open orders, back orders and dates are also considered in order to provide precise control of inventory availability and sales.
