Branch Platform Continues in Forward Gear Unbroken Growth at TecCom GmbH – Automechanika Innovation Award 2008 for TecIdentify
TecCom GmbH has so far had a very successful 2008. In the last nine months the volume of inquiry and order line items on the leading B2B platform for the independent automotive aftermarket has grown 44 percent to almost 7.2 million per month. In the same period the number of traders connected worldwide increased by more than 35 percent to around 11,500. “We had the greatest increase in England. There the growth was in some areas more than 240 percent. Cooperation with the most important purchasing cooperatives in the UK like IFA (Independent Motor Factors Association), GAU (Group Auto Union) and UKPA (UK PartsAlliance) is bringing results,” says Jürgen Buchert, CEO of TecCom GmbH. In France the cooperation and good work with Golda increased the volumes of business relationships and transactions by more than 45 percent. TecCom also showed strong growth outside of Europe. The company is profiting from China's economic growth and has grown more than 100 percent in this market. Ulrich Nolle, Sales Manager DACH, Eastern Europe and Asia, is satisfied. “TecCom moved into the Chinese market early. Our solution is well on its way to establish itself as a standard for our suppliers there, too.”
Additional TecCom solutions are contributing their share to TecCom's success. More and more traders and manufacturers have been using the TecTDC Suite (Trusted Document Center), introduced last year for legally secure electronic invoice sending. The number of invoice senders doubled over last year; the monthly volume is five times as high at 15,000 invoices. Things are also looking up for TecCMD, the solution for the electronic preparation, distribution and use of article, price and logistic data. The newest version of TecCMD will be presented at the Automechanika in Frankfurt. Full SAP integration is now possible and universal interfaces for all ERP systems are available.
The TecCMI solution for cooperative stock optimization by trader and supplier has also shown steep growth. The number of managed warehouses has doubled and the number of optimized articles has increased by more than 290 percent. TecWarranty is becoming the standard for electronic handling of warranty cases. Part manufacturers in France and Germany have signed on for the service.
The newest development, TecIdentify – the solution against product piracy, will be presented for the first time at the Automechanika in Frankfurt. There it will be presented with the Automechanika Innovation Award 2008. This initiative was driven by the European Association of the Automobile Supplier Industry CLEPA and the manufacturers Continental Teves (ATE), TRW, the Schaeffler Group (LuK, INA, FAG), Robert Bosch, GKN, Federal Mogul, Tenneco, Wabco and ZF. |
