“Success Factor Electronic Invoice” in the focus of the automotive aftermarket
Successful conclusion of the presentation series in December 2009

From September through December 2009 more than 100 participants from industry and trade attended the Info Days “Success Factor Electronic Invoice” to learn about the advantages of using paperless invoices. In five German cities TecCom employees and experts from Basware and Itella showed the potential in the invoicing processes. They demonstrated to the attendees how they can make enormous short-term cost savings by speeding up and automating their processes.

The participants came primarily from the automotive replacement part market; they were joined by people from other branches who wanted to learn about the technical and legal framework, possibilities for use and opportunities in paperless invoice exchange in this open seminar series.

Participants at the Info Day in Dusseldorf

In Dusseldorf, Hanover, Munich, Stuttgart and Frankfurt participants could hear the following presentations from experts:

(Raimund Schlotmann, Managing Director of Itella Information GmbH)
  • TecInvoice – from invoice preparation to incoming invoices
(Alexander Bresslau, Senior Sales Manager, TecCom GmbH)
  • Automated processing of incoming invoices with TecInvoice
(Hannu Urhonen, Senior Channel Manager Basware)
  • Roaming of electronic invoices – networking of the service providers
(Hubert Hohenstein, Chairman of the association e-Invoice Alliance Germany e.V. and Solution Manager for the TecInvoice solution at TecCom)

The opportunity afterwards to talk to the experts for electronic invoicing and exchange ideas with colleagues from the automotive part market and representatives of other branches was extremely well received.

Overall the participants rated the seminar series as very successful and informative. Starting with the content and quality of the presentations through the organisation of the events to the atmosphere of the hotels, the participants gave high grades almost without exception.

Info Day in Frankfurt: Even the breaks were filled with animated discussion.

Thorsten Frieß, Director Administration and Logistics at Eberspächer Exhaust Aftermarket, made the point: “In electronic invoicing we see great opportunities for Eberspächer Exhaust Aftermarket – because this way we offer our customers even more service. That is why we decided in favour of this project. Today speed and secure processes are important, cost pressure is always growing. This is the reason to address the important topic of electronic invoicing. This is the reason to address the important topic of electronic invoicing. We can optimise our processes, sink costs and gain competitive advantages. I found the event very interesting because I learned everything important about electronic invoices. In particular the benefits were illustrated with many examples.” The aftermarket subsidiary of the Esslingen automotive supplier Eberspächer supplies the automotive replacement part market with a diverse product portfolio covering all relevant applications for exhaust technology.

Hubert Hohenstein, Chairman of the association e-Invoice Alliance Germany e.V. and Solution Manager for the TecInvoice Solution at TecCom, was also very satisfied with the series of events. “The large number of participants at the five events and the positive response have shown us that the topic of electronic invoicing has a high priority in the independent aftermarket. Particularly in difficult times process optimisation is an absolute must – and the conversion of the invoicing process is a chance for every company to work more efficiently and save money.”
