|Free technical support for TecLocal Version 2.3 is ending
For versions 2.3.010 and 2.3.012 only paid technical support will be available from February 1, 2008; no more free support will be available. Support will cost 75 € per half hour of engineering time. Complete expiration is planned for the second half of 2008. In order to continue to receive free support by telephone and e-mail you will need TecLocal 3.0.
Use of the new version brings you many advantages in working with TecCom. The software supports different supplier profiles, expanded delivery options, simpler article entry and many more features. You will also profit from future developments that will be based exclusively on TecLocal 3.0.
You can find out whether you are affected by these changes when you start the TecLocal software. A version number appears in the login screen. If it is less than or equal to 2.3, your company will be affected by the changes. If the TecCom functions are completely integrated into your merchandise management system (MMS), your administrator also needs a TecLocal installation to update the settings. This will also show the version number on the login screen.
The software update is not hard. You just install TecLocal 3.0 on your PC. You can download the current version from our Web site. You can update an old TecLocal version by installing the current full version. Your data from the old version will be kept. If you have an MMS interface or a multi-seat installation of the TecCom software, the time and cost of the changes will depend on the specific configuration your company uses. TecCom will be happy to help you clarify your requirements – just ask our technical support staff.
